Joey – William Joseph Dunlop, OBE (25 February 1952 – 2 July 2000), was a world champion motorcyclist from Ballymoney in Northern Ireland. He was awarded the MBE in 1986 for his services to the sport, and in 1996 he was awarded the OBE for his humanitarian work for children in Romanian orphanages, to which he had delivered clothing and food. Michael Dunlop (born 10 April 1989), along with his brother, William Dunlop (born 23 July 1985), are also part of the great family motorcycling racing dynasty and starting to achieve legendary status themselves.
